If we continue down our current path, Maine looks like it’s headed for a breakup.
With the bureaucrats in the southern, more densely populated part of the state hell bent on replacing Maine’s “aging population” with third world migrants, the more rural areas of the state are becoming increasingly disenfranchised and agitated with the swamp creatures in Augusta and Portland.
It was bad enough that Maine’s capitol is three hundred miles away from the state’s northern, rural residents. With southern Maine caught in the grip of rapid demographic, cultural, and ideological change, one wonders how much longer things can continue like this before someone gets a ballot initiative going to break the state in half.
That someone might even be yours truly.
