Larry Hopkins, the 69-year old veteran who was politically targeted and arrested by the FBI on two year old accusations after the ACLU complained that he was too effective at detaining illegal immigrants, has been violently assaulted in jail.
His attorney reports that his ribs were broken in the attack and has expressed doubt that he will receive adequate care or protection at the New Mexico jail where he is currently held.
In other news, the Congolese migrant who was charged with manslaughter for his role in the death of Donald Giusti last year in Lewiston, Maine *WILL* be prosecuted as an adult and faces as much as 30 years in prison, if convicted.
