I’m getting married today, goys!
Before I do though, I wanted to bring you a special wedding day episode of So to Speak. For this episode, we’re covering a story about overpopulation and birth rates, a story about how telling white people they’ll be outnumbered makes them into based Hoppean libertarians, and a story about a failed diversity initiative that was thrown out by stakeholders over at Google.
Google Engineer Irene Knapp was passionate about this proposal, and gave a speech to shareholders saying that Google’s attitudes about diversity have had a chilling effect on those who care about it. Interestingly enough, she wasn’t fired for this speech as James Damore was for his memo.
In fact, her speech was heavily quoted by much of the mainstream media, though I was curiously unable to find any press photos of her to use for today’s episode.
That’s when I stumbled on this Kiwi Farms thread.
Apparently “Irene” was born as a biological male named Daniel. Daniel, as you can see in the cover art for today’s show, does not have much by way of sexual market value. So… yeah. I didn’t know that “Irene” was a mentally ill man named Dan when I recorded the episode, but it sure does explain a lot.
