The International Olympic Committee has unilaterally declared that testosterone has no impact on athletic performance, and so no man in a dress may be excluded from female athletic competitions regardless of whether or not he’s had his penis removed.
That’s good to know.
I’m kind of ambivalent about the decision. On one hand, I don’t think this sort of thing should be embraced or normalized. On the other, it raises the barriers to entry for women in competitive athletics, giving them less of a reason to defer child bearing.
