The people of South Portland, Maine made history recently when they elected America’s first Somali-born mayor. With state media leading the charge, the left is celebrating this as a victory in what is clearly demographic warfare aimed at the whitest state in the nation.
This election is subsequently being used to encourage other foreign nationals to seek political power in Maine, and throughout America. There’s even entire organizations dedicated to recruiting them and funding their candidacies in down ballot elections all over the nation.
If only the right had something like that…
South Portland’s newly elected mayor is happy to be “the face of the city” and called it a win for “people who look like me.” And while the left says this outcome is proof Mainers are eager and enthusiastic to be displaced by ethnically and culturally dissimilar demographic jihadists, most actual Mainers would say the attitudes of people living in South Portland aren’t even remotely close to their own. Most people north of Bangor don’t even consider South Portland to be part of Maine.
They see it as part of Massachusetts. Someday soon they might even see it as part of Mogadishu.
