The ink wasn’t even dry on the Senate record of Mitch’s vote to acquit before he pulled an about-face and condemned the President as “morally responsible” for an “insurrection”, arming leftists with all the fodder they will need in the 2022 election cycle.
Republicans should remember his treachery well, and also that of Neocons like Rubio, Collins, Murkowski, Romney et al. These people would all like to take the GOP back to the Trotskyite agenda they imposed on it prior to Trump, but that isn’t happening.
Neoconservatism is dead, and McConnel’s attack on the Republican base this past Friday was the final nail in the coffin.
