There is no end to the cruelty of this administration.

President Trump’s team published a new rule in the Federal Register today that will essentially end the asylum program, assuming it isn’t hemmed up in the courts. Going forward, aliens who pass through safe third countries like Mexico without applying for and getting denied asylum there first will be ineligible for asylum in the United States.

This mean-spirited and racist rule will likewise apply to the children of aliens. Trump apparently missed the memo that we aren’t allowed to have a country anymore because women are crying in Spanish.
