Ilhan Omar (if that is her real name) is one of the ugliest people I’ve ever had the misfortune of laying eyes on. Not just because she’s physically repulsive, but because her seething hatred of white America exemplifies the default attitude of the community from which she comes:
Hostile entitlement.
If you’re not from Lewiston, Maine or Minneapolis, Minnesota, you may not have had a chance to experience this for yourself. It’s likely that your experience of Ilhan’s community is limited to media coverage of Ilhan herself — the most recent example of which emphasizes Ilhan’s calls for “racial profiling” of “straight, white men”.
Your shock has been imagined.
Rest assured, though: hatred of white America is the norm where she comes from, and Americans are getting a chance to see that for themselves for the first time because of her.
